"We highly recommend Kimi to anyone seeking a talented and dedicated composer. Her musical expertise, project agility, and commitment are above and beyond. Hire her, you will be happy you did!"
We are incredibly grateful to Kimi for creating such a fun, charming piece for our podcast, Players: A Film Industry Podcast. Her previous work and overall attitude made us quickly realize how perfect she was to take this on. Our instincts were only confirmed once we started collaborating.
For starters, Kimi was an absolute pleasure to work with. She adds a layer of fun to everything she does while staying on task. She's professional, collaborative, and had a keen understanding of our vision. Her communications with us never went unanswered for longer than 24 hours and she stayed on timeline, even delivering before due dates.
Throughout the creative process she provided invaluable input and suggestions. She took the time to listen to our ideas and preferences, and beautifully translated them into a composition that exceeded our expectations. Her ability to capture the essence of our podcast and brand was truly amazing!
Her talent and creativity have added a whole new dimension to our podcast and we could tell she genuinely cared about helping with the success of our launch. We highly recommend Kimi to anyone seeking a talented and dedicated composer. Her musical expertise, project agility, and commitment are above and beyond. Hire her, you will be happy you did!

"I am so lucky to have had Kimi work on the soundtrack for this official trailer.... Kimi was direct, communicative, and helped me shape what each step of the video would look like from her experience."
When I was self publishing my inaugural board game, Mercenaries of Gridaris, through Kickstarter. I was intimidated by the amount of work I had ahead of me. One of the most important parts of Kickstarter is the Official Trailer of the product you are launching. These videos need to be informative, entertaining, and have a high quality of sound and video design.
I am so lucky to have had Kimi work on the soundtrack for this official trailer. As someone who hadn't done this kind of promotional video before, Kimi was direct, communicative, and helped me shape what each step of the video would look like from her experience.
The music she provided me was supposed to be high fantasy with bombastic choruses and then transition into softer lulls to allow for information to be given to potential customers... and she hit the nail on the head on the first try! It was astounding.
I had her tunes in my head for weeks after and she was an absolute delight to work with. Please consider her for any project you might have in mind and she will bring it to life.

"Our band, Malört & Savior, was working on our new single.... [Kimi] took the music we were working with, composed a solo, and knocked it out on the first try.... an absolute platter of ear candy at the end of the song to bring it to BANGER levels."
Kimi has been an absolute treat to work with in music making. Our band, Malört & Savior, was working on our new single, Rathole, and needed a nice finish to the song, so we approached Kimi to lay down a violin solo at the end.
Boy did she knock it out of the park. Took the music we were working with, composed a solo, and knocked it out on the first try. But Kimi came to party. She ended up writing pads, harmonies, and an absolute platter of ear candy at the end of the song to bring it to BANGER levels.
This song is the reason we got asked to play at Riot Fest and go on Stephen Colbert and we owe it all to her (I'm writing this part in future prospective, it'll be relevant eventually I'm sure).

"The album she helped me write went for over 1M plays on Soundcloud and YouTube."
I realized pretty early in my music writing that I didn’t possess the musical talent to produce the music I really wanted to make. I had the ideas, I knew the way I wanted to take it, but I needed creative people around me that could help bring that idea to fruition. Kimi was always known as an incredible talent. But as good as she can play the heck out of her instruments, she’s even better at free-styling on the spot and feeding off of the collaboration to really push the output.
Kimi and I have multiple collaborations across a nearly 12 year span. She helped me write some sexy R&B music when I was in my Trey Songz era, we wrote some Owl City jams when we were just having fun with it, and when I decided to get serious and write something truly important to me, she was there to write some real f*cking artistic sh*t. I would sing a melody or present an idea for some chords or a lead, and she takes it to a place I can only imagine. We share a tremendous collaboration chemistry—no egos, no friction, just understanding the frame in which we’re coloring, and we fill it in.
In the end, the album she helped me write went for over 1M plays on Soundcloud and YouTube—without any promotion, organically. She was a massive part of that, always ready to hit the studio at any moment’s notice. A truly talented mind and musician, she can write to any genre. 🙏

"Her work elevates each project and truly captures emotion and environments."
Kimi has been an integral part of my filmmaking. Having worked with her over several projects, I am continually impressed and grateful for the amount of thought and professionalism she brings to each piece she works on.
Kimi has scored both documentary and narrative films, and her work has consistently raised the technical and creative bar. Her work elevates each project and truly captures emotion and environments. She is a wonderful collaborative partner and exactly the kind of creative force that a director feels privileged to work with.

"Kimi has the ability to take an idea you give her and turn it into song on the spot — she just gets it."
Since my first collaboration with Kimi—as two high school musicians—I was extremely impressed with her musical prowess and spirit! When our paths crossed again almost a decade later on the Chicago comedy scene, I was hopeful something musical was sure to come of it.
Kimi has the ability to take an idea you give her and turn it into song on the spot—she just gets it. On one occasion, I sent her lyrics I'd written for “Sound Never Dies,” a sketch-song, and two songs I was hoping to loosely emulate musically. Neither song was particularly simple or similar to the other. The song she produced for me captured what I was looking for perfectly—I think I asked for a tweak or two which she accommodated with ease. It was amazing. She's truly gifted!

"It was the most seamless, easy, and satisfying collaboration I've ever had."
Kimi created a rap/pop sort of mix for us, as well as ambient music spanning several genres throughout our award-winning short film, “Nut Butter Dreams.” It was the most seamless, easy, and satisfying collaboration I've ever had.
Kimi is so good at asking incisive questions that get to the core of what you're trying to do. On top of that, she loves trying things. She's a pro at tapping something out fast, getting feedback, and readjusting—at speed. Kimi made the perfect music for my project, it sounds great, she did it so fast, and I am so excited to work with her again. 10/10 would recommend to anyone who needs great music for their project.

"We had an idea of what we wanted, and Kimi was able to translate our vision into music."
Kimi is an intuitive composer and creative. My podcast co-host and I were looking for a theme song for our new show, “The Anxious Marketers Podcast,” and I knew Kimi had experience creating tracks for other projects. Her personality and style were a perfect fit.
She was so communicative throughout the whole process, took our feedback well (which was minimal since she just "got it"), and the final result was exactly what we were looking for. We gave her a lot of creative freedom—we had an idea of what we wanted, and Kimi was able to translate our vision into music.
We're proud to tell people that she composed our song and would use her again for our next project in a heartbeat. I've already mentioned her to other friends looking when music comes up, for the day they're looking for a commissioned piece. Kimi is your girl!

"Kimi brings a lot of musical expertise to her work and each theme felt unique."
Working with Kimi is an absolute delight. She's composed music for two projects of mine—”Legacy Dungeon: A D&D Podcast” and “Swiped: Improvised Thievery.” She's brought an incredible talent to each of these projects, helping to create multiple themes for the shows.
Kimi brings a lot of musical expertise to her work, and each theme felt unique and in line with the shows I was producing. She's thorough with her work, excellent at communicating, and worked hard to ensure that each piece of music was perfect through several rounds of feedback.

"She had always impressed me with her incredible ability to accent and improvise musically in shows that I had seen her play."
I had only met Kimi in passing in 2018 when my usual musical director suddenly became unavailable to play for the Christmas sketch show that I wrote for The Second City in Chicago. The holiday style music that I pictured in my head was essential to the flow of the show, and with less than a month until opening day, Kimi was an obvious first choice for a replacement. She had always impressed me with her incredible ability to accent and improvise musically in shows that I had seen her play. So, hat in hand, I reached out to her, asked her if she wanted the job, and she immediately accepted… no questions asked.
Not only did she completely NAIL IT, but she single handedly saved the show! The way she was able to take my notes, “hums,” and “dadas” and turn them into a magical Christmas experience for the ages was simply amazing! I loved my time with her, and if I’m ever given the chance to work with Kimi again, like she once did for me, I wouldn’t hesitate a single second.

"Kimi was collaborative and took our inspiration to make the jingle authentically underscore our show's vibe."
Kimi came up with an adorable jingle to underscore our intro for our podcast, Animated Tops & Flops! We didn’t have a good idea of what we wanted and sort of just threw cartoon openings at her.
Kimi was collaborative and took our inspiration to make the jingle authentically underscore our show's vibe! She was amazing! She came back with three different ideas and then tweaked the one we liked to reach our current sound! She was amazing to work with and we plan to use her in the future when we need other music.
